I love to design web sites. I designed my own portfolio site from scratch and I operate all of my own Wordpress systems. I try to keep current links to functioning web sites as much as I can, so you can see a live version of those that I create.
I can do just about anything you want and I have a great group of contract designers that I work with if you need a specialty item such as a quality Flash site, an e-commerce section etc.
I mostly try to talk my clients into hiring me to set-up Wordpress as a content management system. The reason for this is that I feel you benefit from a website more if you can update it yourself, plus Wordpress is free. I do have rates for site maintenance and web content management if you require it, but most of my clients want to learn how to add content themselves.
Here are some websites I’ve created; my involvement consists of design, setting up the system, managing content and redesigns. Rates vary from $500 (for a basic Wordpress installation, theme customization and content start-up) to $3,000.00 for a complete custom built website. Please contact me for anything you require and I will help you find a solution.
Tri-Star Landscape Management
Tri-Star is a San Diego landscape company that needed an easy-to-use website to help manage its many clients and also to help attract new accounts.
This website was built from the ground up with a custom designed layout, table-less CSS with XHTML mark-up and a simple to navigate interface.
This is a simple Wordpress installation using a free theme but with quite a bit of customization and graphics.
This is a site set-up for a unique home in Mexico City that has been used for celebrity getaways as well as film festivals. Its owners and my clients) are Holler and Saunders who supply ultra high end antiques and interior decorating to designers, architects and custom home builders worldwide. It is still a work in progress and we will soon be adding more photos of this amazing property as well as a 3D model of the rooms so you can take a virtual tour.
This site has a lot of functionality built into it, but as you can see it”s fairly simple. Terence is a legendary Los Angeles dj who does a lot of different stuff and his website is a hub for information that is constantly being updated. The landing page funtions as a bulletin board that has a Feedburner email subscription service ( a free service that sends an email to your subscribers whenever you update your site), a Twitter interface so he can update his site from his mobile phone, a Flickr gallery that shows flyers for his upcoming gigs. This can be updated by simply emailing a flyer image to a secret email account. You’ll also find a linked Google calendar that shows up in his blog sidebar with all of his upcoming events and a Feedburner bulletin board that shows his most recent posts. The actual website itself is another Wordpress installation that contains booking info, logo packs, press kits that can be downloaded, a video and fashion page and much more.
I also created a layout on Terence’s MySpace page to match the bulletin board (it also shares the same code) so it will auto update whenever the landing page is updated. The same code can also be used to promote in MySpace bulletins and blog posts.
This is a music news site using Wordpress and a Cutline theme which is designed for magazine-style funtionality and good SEO, making its content easily indexed in search engines.
I created my own website so I can have control over how it functions as well as as a simple interface to disseminate tons of content. When you arrive at the website you are greeted by a self portrait of me showing off six of my current favorite images along with a bulletin board that displays my rss feed, weblog posts and Twitter bits. On the side you will see an easy-to-use navigation system that takes you to my portfolio page, blog, RSS feed, info page and even my dj website. The site was custom built using Photoshop for the layout and custom CSS and xhtml with PHP elements. I can easily change the images to suit my many moods and it has been very good to me so far.
