This was a fun project for a store owner who needed a logo, business cards, website and some type of bold sign-graphics to enhance the retail space.
We were having trouble with the icon; he wanted something but wasn’t sure exactly what. The F with an open circle reminded the client of a bad former employer so it was out. At the same time I was developing a concept for the business cards and a skyline image for the in-store graphics. The store used to be a record (music) store and it will still feature music (the owner is a talented San Diego DJ), but it will not be the primary focus.
The icon became clear: I would use a audio wave form image as the city skyline, and at the same time it would be the icon for FeeLit.

The client loved it and we designed a business card:
and then moved on to designing a cool, colorful, murky, futuristic skyline image:

The client liked the blue with green fog and the logo with hot colors.
Then with a final comp…

We finished it up. A friend and large format graphics specialist printed and installed the mural.

A fun project, a happy store owner, a bit of digital painting and design and a job well done.
